Presidents of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan meet in Sadabad Palace

TEHRAN, May 24 (MNA) – The presidents of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan meet in Sadabad Palace to seek ways to stem rising insurgency in Afghanistan which has also engulfed Pakistan’s northwestern region.

Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari arrived for the meeting here on Saturday night. Afghanistan’ President Hamid Karzai also arrived on Sunday.

 

The three presidents held a similar meeting on the sidelines of the ECO summit in Tehran on March 11.

 

Before the presidential summit deputy foreign ministers from the three neighboring countries had met in Islamabad and Kabul.
