TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) -- Iranian director Mohsen Khanjahani is producing a documentary on the revolutionary song “Yar-e Dabestani-e Man.”

Entitled “Yar-e Dabestani-e Man,” the documentary contains interviews with the orchestra’s conductor Farhad Fakhreddini, tar virtuoso Keyvan Saket and the vocalist Sina Sarlak.

The interviews are about the memorable Iranian songs and pieces of music with a focus on the unforgettable revolutionary song with the same name.

“The original plan was to screen the documentary in early March but we changed our minds in order to do more interviews about the song,” Khanjahani told ISNA.

The film has been in production since February 2009, which was the occasion of 30th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The 30-minute film contains interviews with the song’s first singers, Jamshid Jam and Hamid Shahangian, and also with some political and social figures as well as artists who narrate their memories of this song.

Composed by Mansur Tehrani, “Yar-e Dabestani-e Man” is a reminder of the days of the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and remains as one of the symbols of the students’ movements in Iran.
