No barrier to Iran-Uganda ties: Ahmadinejad

TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) – Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Sunday that there is no obstacle to expansion of relations between Iran and Uganda.

Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a press conference with his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni after the two countries had issued a joint statement.

 

He said that Tehran is determined to boost its amicable ties with Kampala.

 

Iran and Uganda are going to cooperate in the areas of energy, agriculture, education, banking, investment, he added.

 

For his part, Museveni said that bilateral relations between the two countries are increasing at an accelerating rate.

 

He said that Iran is now fully cooperating with Uganda in different fields including industry and agriculture.
