Iran to host summit with Pakistan, Afghanistan

TEHRAN, May 17 (MNA) – Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai will arrive in Tehran on Tuesday for talks with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the presidential office announced on Saturday.

The summiteers are expected to discuss rising insurgency in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

 

The summit comes less than three months after the presidents met in Tehran for a regional economic conference, along with leaders from other ECO members.
