Leader sees bright future for Iran

SANANDAJ, Kordestan Province, May 16 (MNA) -- Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Friday that a bright future is awaiting the Iranian nation.

“God willing, with the people’s and official’s vigilance… and collective efforts, a radiant future is awaiting the great nation of Iran,” he told a gathering of tribal chiefs in Kordestan Province on the third day of his trip to the province.

The Leader said the enemy is preparing to make up for its losses and the country needs to ignore trivial matters in order to foil the enemy’s plots.

He also praised the nomads of Kordestan, West Azarbaijan, and Kermanshah provinces for the sacrifices they made during the early years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The Iranian nation will never forget the sacrifices its brave border guards have made, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

“The strong nomads have a sense of responsibility and guard the security of the region to this day, and should strengthen themselves and pass this sense of responsibility on to their youths and children,” he added.

He went on to say that the Iraqi Kurds on the other side of the Iran-Iraq border have close ties with Iran.

He also noted that the enemy is seeking to cause discord in the region and urged the people to increase their political and cultural awareness to counter such efforts.
