Israel seeking to transfer its worries to regional countries

SANAA, Yemen, May 14 (MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Thursday that Israel plans to transfer its worries to regional and Islamic countries.

“This is Israel which intends to spread its worries to regional and Islamic states,” Larijani said in a meeting with Yemeni Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Rae'i in Sanaa.

Larijani also said Yemen’s strategic situation has turned it into an important country in the region.

He said Tehran seeks a long-term relationship with Sanaa, the Mehr News Agency correspondent reported.

Pointing to the importance of unity among Islamic countries, Larijani said divisions will only benefit enemies. He insisted that Muslim nations must be vigilant in the face of deceptions by enemies.

“The enemies of Islam” want the Islamic states to focus on “minor and unimportant” issues, Larijani explained.

Larijani, who acted as Iran’s nuclear negotiator in talks with the European Union before he resigned as Supreme National Security Council chief, also said Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities is an asset for regional and Islamic states.

The top lawmaker also lauded the Yemeni government for establishing dialogue with opposition groups in line with consolidating its national unity.
