Mousavi vows to reveal how oil revenues have been spent

TEHRAN, May 11 (MNA) – Presidential contender Mir-Hossein Mousavi has vowed to reveal how the abundant oil revenues have been spent over the last four years if he wins the June elections.

“I will give this information to the people,” Mousavi told a gathering of university students in Tehran.

Mousavi also said violating law is the most important problem in the current administration.

He also criticized the performance of the government in dissolving councils such as the monetary and credit council.

“The fact that… several high councils were dissolved and their duties were delegated to the cabinet is very dangerous.”

Mousavi faulted the dissolution of the councils as one of the main causes behind the high inflation rate.

“One of the reasons for the current 25 percent inflation was the dissolution of these decision-making institutes.”

The former prime minister assimilated the current decision-making process to the Qajar era and even before that time.

He also said the people have the right to know about everything in the country except military secrets and “we must not hide anything from people.”
