TEHRAN, May 10 (MNA) -- Iranian documentary “Final Fitting” won the honorable mention of the jury award at the Documenta Madrid 2009.

Directed by Reza Haeri, the documentary is about a cramped shop in Qom, which belongs to master tailor and armchair philosopher Mr. Arabpur whose clients include former Iranian former president Seyyed Mohammad Khatami and the late Imam Khomeini.

 

The festival was held from May 1 to 10 at the Spain’s capital and was dedicated exclusively to documentary films.

 

 

Secretary of Hamedan children’s film festival appointed

 

TEHRAN -- Akbar Nabavi was appointed as the secretary of 23rd International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults in Hamedan.

 

The festival will be held from August 2 to 6. A total of 260 foreign films from 40 countries have been submitted to the secretariat of the gala and have been in the review process since early March.

 

 

Iranian short films line up for Germany’s Black Cinema

 

TEHRAN -- Iranian films will go on display at the Black International Cinema, held in Berlin from May 7 to 10.

 

A total of 23 films including “A Day Full of Pain” by Sattar Chamangoli, “Lovers” and “Next Life” by Kaveh Qahremani, “Lipstick” by Babak Meynaqi and “The Wind is blowing in the Lane” by Diako Yazdani were displayed at the gala.
