What’s in art galleries

TEHRAN, May 5 (MNA) -- The Palestine Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran plans to hold an exhibition by a number of veteran artists, which will open on May 9.

The exhibit, entitled “From Fadak to Ashura,” has been organized to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima (SA).


Works by Mir Hossein Mousavi, Zahra Rahnavard, Mohammad Ehasaii, Habibollah Sadeqi, Kazem Chalipa, Mohammad-Ali Bani-Asadi, Mostafa Gudarzi, Nasrollah Afjei, and several other artists will be included in the show.


The museum is located on Baradaran-e Mozaffar St. near the Felestin Square.



Video art/photo


* The Arya Gallery will play host to an exhibition of video arts and photos by Turaj Khamaneh and Mehdi Vosuqnia from May 7 to 18.


The gallery is located at No. 11 Zarrin Alley, off Vali-e Asr Ave.





* An exhibition of paintings by Vahid Shakeri and Samaneh Labbafi will be held at the Kamaleddin Behzad Gallery from May 9 to 14.


The gallery is located at Shanzdah-e Azar St. at the intersection with Keshavarz Blvd.


* An exhibition of paintings by Negar Owrang is currently underway at the Elaheh Gallery.


The showcase will run until May 12 at the gallery located at No.6 Golfam St. off Africa Ave.





* The Aasaar Gallery will exhibit calligraphy-paintings by Ahmad Aryamanesh, Mohammad-Mehdi Razi, Vahid Ezzatpanah, and Mohammad Qasemzadeh from May 10 to 20.


The gallery is located at 136 Fakhr-e Razi St. off Enqelab Ave.
