Over 3600 publishers to participate in Tehran Intl. Book Fair

TEHRAN, May 4 (MNA) -- The 22nd Tehran International Book Fair opens at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla tomorrow.

Over 3600 Iranian and foreign publishers will be participating in the event.

 

A total of 1700 foreign companies from 78 countries will be presenting their latest publications, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad-Hossein Saffar Harandi said during a press conference on Monday.

 

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will officially inaugurate the book fair tomorrow, but it will open to the public on May 6.

 

Fifteen student groups from neighboring countries are scheduled to visit the book fair, Saffar Harandi stated.

 

However, he provided no more details about the groups.

 

The organizers of the event announced earlier that foreign e-books and e-journals will be offered for the first time during this year’s book fair.

 

The 22nd Tehran International Book Fair runs until May 16.
