TEHRAN, May 3 (MNA) -- Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) recently donated a collection of Iranian TV series and telefilms to the State Television and Radio Company of Tatarstan.

IRIB granted over 20 films with Russian subtitles to Tatarstan’s state television in May 2008, which were warmly received by the Tatars, IRIB official Mohammad-Jafar Safi mentioned in a press release on Sunday.

 

Iranian TV series Shahriar Bahrani’s “Sacred Mary”, Mohsen Shamohammadi’s “Coastal Guard”, Saeid Aqakhani’s “The Yalda Night’s Watermelon” and Kamal Tabrizi’s “Shahriar” were Submitted to Consulate General of Iran in Kazan to be dubbed into the Tatar language. 

 

Several Iranian telefilms including Saeid Soltani’s “The Edge of Darkness”, Parand Zahedi’s “The Prison’s Bride”, Shohreh Lorestani’s “Mah-Monir” and Masud Keramati’s “The Bicycle Agency” were also granted to Tatarstan.

 

The Republic of Tatarstan is a federal subject of the Russian Federation (a republic) and its capital is Kazan.
