TEHRAN, May 2 (MNA) – Croatia will impose no limitations for the absorption of Iranian investment in the country, said Croatia’s Ambassador to Tehran Esad Prohic in Tehran on Saturday.

In a meeting with the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Deputy Director Babak Afqahi, Prohic suggested that Croatia has the potential to become the gate for the exportation of Iranian goods and technical-engineering services to the EU markets.

IRNA quoted Prohic as saying that tourism and agriculture could be the best fields in which the two sides can cooperate.

He proposed the formation of a joint trade committee that could enhance bilateral trade and business.

Also talking at the meeting, the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency of Croatia Managing Director Slobodan Mikac said that the Port of Rijeka in Croatia is the main entrance to Central Europe and an appropriate port link with Bandar Abbas Port in Iran. He added that this port could facilitate goods transportation between Iran and the whole of Europe.

He also emphasized that the two sides’ free zones organizations have to exchange experience and information, and to dispatch economic delegations to one another’s countries.

He also asked the Iranian official to arrange for the presence of Iranian companies in Croatia’s largest international exhibition.
