Ali Ahani will move from Paris to Berlin: source

TEHRAN, July 27 (MNA) – Ali Ahani will become Iran’s ambassador to Germany, an informed source in the foreign ministry told the Mehr News Agency on Sunday.

Ahani is currently Iran’s ambassador to France. He is replacing Mohammad Mahdi Akhondzadeh.

 

Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Alaedin Boroujerdi has stated that Akhondzadeh will take over as deputy foreign minister.

 

Ahani is a veteran diplomat who has acted in different posts. He was Iran’s ambassador to Belgium, the capital of the European Union. He also served as foreign minister for many years.
