No security worries: Shirin Ebadi

TEHRAN, July 22 (MNA) – Female legal expert and peace activist Shirin Ebadi has said that she has no security worries after the president ordered the police chief to protect her.

Before the president’s order, Ebadi, a Nobel Laureate, had received a threatening letter.

“After the writing of that letter and the order to commander of the Law Enforcement Forces by Mr. Ahmadinejad for protecting my security I have received no threats,” she told the Mehr News Agency after she was asked whether her security concerns have been allayed after the president’s order.

Ahmadinejad asked Police Commander Esmaeil Ahmadimoqaddam on April 17 to implement the necessary measures to protect Ebadi after it what said that she and her family had received “increasing security threats”.
