TEHRAN, July 22 (MNA) -- 11-year old Iranian singer Sorush Jamshidi will take part in the Young Musicians Festival in South Korea.

The festival will be held from July 28 to August 1. He will perform some pieces in commemoration of Persian culture and its role in the world peace.

 

 

IAA spotlighting postmodernism and public culture

 

TEHRAN -- A series of meeting on postmodernism and public culture is beginning at the Naqsh-e Jahan Art Research Center of the Iranian Academy of Arts.

 

Scholar Mehrdad Navabakhsh is giving lectures during the meetings on urban life and its influences on human societies.

 

The first session was held on Tuesday morning at the Naqsh-e Jahan Art Research Center and three more sessions will be held during the next month at the venue.

 

 

Golestan Gallery to host “100 works, 100 artists” exhibit

 

TEHRAN -- Golestan Gallery will play host to the “100 works, 100 artists” starting August 1.

 

Artworks by renowned artists including Mohammad Ehsaii, Jazeh Tabatabaii, Farah Osuli, Ardeshir Mohasses and Sohrab sepehri will be on display for sale during the showcase.

 

 

Homa Rusta to stage “Antigone in New York” in Belarus

 

TEHRAN -- Iranian stage director Homa Roosta will stage Janusz Glowacki’s “Antigone in New York” at the International Dunin-Martsinkevich Theatre Festival in Mogiliov, Belarus in November.

 

The play was performed at Molavi Hall a year ago. Ahmad Aghaloo, Siamak Safari, Daryush Movafagh, Behnaz Jafari and Barzakh Razmgah are the cast members.
