TEHRAN, July 21 (MNA) -- Tehran to host the International Conference of Persian Language and Literature Scholars in November.

Over 100 world scholars teaching Persian language and literature are to gather in Tehran to meet and exchange views during the four-day event, said Abbas-Ali Vafaii, the chairman of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).

 

“The conference is organized to review the needs of the scholars and help boost Persian language in the world. We also intend to help them become more familiar with the literary and cultural atmosphere of our country,” he added.

 

Vafaii continued saying that an international statement has been prepared requesting Persian language scholars worldwide to submit their latest articles on recent developments in the field of Persian language studies.

 

He also remarked that the exact date of the conference would be announced later but the location will be at the venue of the University of Tehran.

 

Several other programs, including meetings with cultural and political officials, and visiting cultural and centers tourism in the country are among the programs on the sidelines of the conference.
