BUSHEHR, July 20 (MNA) – Bushehr Special Economic Zone (BSEZ) in southern Bushehr Province will be expanded to 4,580 hectares area from the current 1,880 hectares area, the managing director of the BSEZ said here on Sunday.

“The development plan was enacted in the second round of the presidential trips to the province and is currently in its final phases,” Siamak Ahmadi added. 

 

A workgroup constituted of the ministries of Housing and Urban Development, Commerce, Industries and Mines, and Defense as well as the Environment Organization officials have initially approved the plan. 

 

“By implementation of the plan, the BSEZ will be equipped with an exclusive harbor,” the official said.

 

“The plan is underway for environmental considerations,” he said adding, the implementation of the plan will magnify the economic and industrial capacity of the zone.
