Davoodi is first choice for finance ministry

TEHRAN, July 20 (MNA) -- The First Vice President, Parviz Davoodi, is said to be the president’s first candidate for ministry of economic affairs and finance.

Parliament has also shown more inclination to Davoodi than caretaker minister Hossein Samsami.

The president held a meeting last week with some persons who have best chance for the post.

If the news comes true, one of two presidential advisors, Mojtaba Samareh-Hashemi or Sadegh Mahsuli, will secure the post of first vice president.

Mohammad Reza Rahimi, vice president for legal and parliamentary affairs, told reporters after a cabinet meeting on Sunday that the final candidate will be introduced to parliament in a day or two.
