TEHRAN, June 19 (MNA) -- “Total amount of products sold by Iranian refineries in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2008) added up to $47 billion,” the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) deputy director for refining affairs said here on Saturday.

“A barrel of crude oil’s average price was $93.7 last year,” Aminollah Eskandari explained.


“Among the country’s operational refineries, Abadan refinery with the production capacity of 400,000 barrels per day stands atop,” he added while noting that Iran’s crude oil refining capacity is supposed to reach 1,650,000 barrels per day in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20).


“At present, 44 million liters of gasoline, 81 million liters of diesel oil, 78 million liters of furnace oil, 3 million liters of jet fuel and 21 million liters of commercial and industrial kerosene are being produced daily in the country’s refineries,” Eskandari explained.
