TEHRAN, July 19 (MNA) – The Iranian giant automaker, Iran Khodro Company, will market 11 new cars models by the next four years, said the CEO of the company here on Saturday.

IRNA quoted Manuchehr Manteqi saying the company will introduce its new low-cost family cars in the next Iranian calendar year (to start March 21, 2009).

 

Producing 1.150 million cars per annum, IKCO ranks the 16th in the world’s car industry.

 

----- Tehran to host transportation, transit, and customs affairs confab

 

TEHRAN – the conference on transportation, transit, and customs affairs “challenges and opportunities” will kick off here on July 22, IRIB reported on Saturday.

 

The one-day confab aims at reviewing the problematic areas and limitations in the international transportation sectors as well as land, sea, port, and air transits.

 

----- Khorasan Razavi attracts over $37m foreign investment in industry & mine sector

 

MASHAD – Khorasan Razavi Province, northeastern Iran, attracted some $37.2 million of foreign investment in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 20), IRIB on Saturday quoted a province’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Mines official as saying.

 

The investors are involved in 27 industrial and mineral units of the province in the field of food industry, chemicals, leather and textiles, electronics, car parts, and mines.
