TEHRAN, July 19 (MNA) -- Alaeddin Borujerdi, the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee chairman, said on Saturday that Pakistan’s stability and security is of high importance to Iran and emphasized the necessity of expanding strategic cooperation between the two neighbors.

In a meeting with Pakistani Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman Gen. Ihsan-ul-Haq, Borujerdi said, “The history of mutual relations is full of brotherhood, cooperation and collaboration between the two neighboring countries.”

 

He also emphasized the necessity of lasting and expanded relations in various economic and political fields between the two sides.

 

For his part, Ihsan-ul-Haq said, “There is a wealth of undetected capacities for mutual cooperation which should be realized by the officials of the two sides.” 

 

“The Pakistani nation will never forget Islamic Republic of Iran’s positions during the early days of their independence,” he pointed out.
