TEHRAN, July 13 (MNA) – More than 100 thousand tons of goods have been exported from the start of the year (Iranian calendar- starting March 20) through the border-markets of southwestern Khuzestan province.

Khuzestan custom’s supervisor stated that the value of the exported  products are over $34 million adding, “In comparison to last year the figure is double in value and 49% more in terms of weight.”

 

Iraj Jabbari placed the average price of one ton of exported goods at $306 and stated, “This amount of goods was exported through 30 of the province’s active border cooperatives as well as Shalamcheh border town and Chazabeh strait to the Persian Gulf littoral states.”

 

Metals, minerals, agro products, industrial goods and handicrafts were among the major exported items.
