Bandar Abbas refinery to boost production capacity

TEHRAN, July 12 (MNA)—Bandar Abbas refinery’s production capacity reached 320,000 barrels per day from the previous figure 232,000 barrels, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company’s managing director said here on Saturday.

“In two years the refinery’s gasoline production capacity will reach 15 million liters per day from the present 10 million liters,” Alireza Amin explained.

 

He went on to say that due to the gasoline rationing plan, Bandar Abbas port’s gasoline import volume has been cut to 11.5 million liters from the previous 22 million liters.

 

National Iranian Oil engineering and Construction Company (NIOEC) is responsible for Bandar Abbas refinery’s production capacity development plan. The project has been funded with 17.74 million euro plus 207 billion rials.
