ASSALUYEH, July 9 (MNA) – Construction of the South Pars gas field’s phase 12 refinery kicks off today in Tonbak, Bushehr province, Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) Managing Director Ali Vakili said on Wednesday.

“In addition to the oil minister, the oil industry’s senior officials, South Pars development project managers, as well as local and provincial officials will attend the ceremony,” he explained.

 

“The project has been developed in the form of an EPC1 (detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation) contract and vested in an Iranian consortium,” he noted.

 

The POGC managing director put the contract value at $284 million and its duration at 34 months.

 

“After commencement of the construction operations, industrial and side buildings including administrative and residential units will be built” Vakili said.
