TEHRAN, July 8 (MNA) -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said on Tuesday that Britain’s decision to place Hezbollah on the terrorist organizations blacklist is a sign of its complete desperation.

Hosseini stated that Britain has always been a supporter of Israel and turned a blind eye to its atrocities and occupations.

“It is not surprising to see such a stance assumed by a government that has played a key role in the establishment of the terrorist occupier Zionist regime,” he told reporters.

Britain has adopted such a desperate position at a time when all political circles in Lebanon are proud of Hezbollah’s achievements, Hosseini added.

When Britain awards a knighthood to Salman Rushdie and backs occupiers, it is in no position to comment on Hezbollah, the Foreign Ministry spokesman noted.
