Iran crowned Asian wrestling champ

DOHA, Qatar, July 7 (MNA)--Iranian youth freestyle wrestling team has clinched the Asian wrestling championship on Sunday at the Doha Aspire Sports Center in the Qatari capital.

Iran’s wrestling team claimed the championship with 78 points, winning 7 gold medals and one bronze. Mongolia and India came in second and third with 53 and 50 points, respectively.  

About 350 athletes from 14 countries, including Iran, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Chinese Taipei participated in the four-day event.

Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling team had already won the championship .
