TEHRAN, July 6 (MNA) -- Central Council of the Association of Combatant Clerics (ACC) was set to hold a meeting on Sunday night to study next year’s presidential elections.

The clerical body has so far held some meetings with most reformist parties and this time will discuss issues such as forming a coalition, prospective candidates, and the reformists’ effective mechanism for taking part in the upcoming election.

In their last meeting the reformists discussed their potential candidates including former prime minister Mir Hossein Musavi, former president Mohammad Khatami, and former Majlis speaker Mahdi Karrubi.

In the previous meetings the ACC had chosen Mohammad Khatami as the candidate.
