TEHRAN, July 5 (MNA) -- Iran has offered to host the Mid-Conference meeting of Asia and Oceania Regional Section of the IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations).

The proposition will be discussed during the IFLA General Conference, which will be held from August 10 to 14 in Québec, Canada.

 

The main objectives of the Section are to initiate, promote and facilitate the development of library and information services within the five sub-regions of Asia and Oceania: West Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia and Oceania.

 

 

Spanish university to hold Iranian studies course

 

TEHRAN -- Spain’s University of Alicante will hold a course on Iranian studies from July 7.

 

Iranian and Spanish professors will discuss their recent studies on Iran’s history, literature, religion and civilization during the course.

 

The event is sponsored by Iran’s cultural attaché in Madrid.
