TEHRAN, July 1 (MNA) -- The Iranian Photographers Center (IPC) is to review works by British photographer Julia Margaret Cameron on its 65th session on Wednesday.

Iranian artist Marzieh Khorsand is due to review and make a speech at the session.

 

Julia Margaret Cameron (1815 to 1879) was a British photographer. She became known for her portraits of celebrities of the time, and for Arthurian and similar legendary-themed pictures.

 

 

Eshtiaq to perform in Norway

 

TEHRAN -- Vocalist Alireza Qorbani and his band Eshtiaq are to give concerts at Førde International Folk Music Festival in Norway, which will be held from July 3 to 6.

 

They will be giving two performances on July 4 and 6. This is the second time Eshtiaq is participating in the festival.

 

FIFF is an annual festival which was first held in 1990 and is the biggest event of its kind in Norway.

 

 

Hana’s “Buddha” wins award at Rabat festival

 

TEHRAN -- Hana Makhmalbaf’s “Buddha Collapsed out of Shame” won the jury special award at of the 13th edition of Morocco’s Rabat Auteur Cinema Festival.

 

Twelve films from 10 countries were competing in this year’s festival which ran from June 21 to 30.

 

Iranian filmmaker Saman Salur was on the seven-member jury.
