Ample opportunities exist to develop Tehran-Stockholm ties

TEHRAN, Jun. 13 (MNA) – Head of Strategic Research Center Ali Akbar Velayati said there are good level of cooperation between Iran and Sweden especially in the fields of economy and industry.

In a meeting with the Director of Swedish Research Center Gunnar Fors on Tuesday, Velayati touched upon the scientific and technological activities and increasing development of scientific research activities in Iran, and said the two countries enjoy good cooperation, especially in the fields of economy and industry, adding careful and strategic studies in the fields can be used to identify and develop effective cooperation in different sectors.

He also presented reports about major research centers in Iran and pointed to the Strategic Research Center's activities saying it would provide the possibility of joint cooperation between the two countries.

He pointed to the rapid developments and events in regional and international fields, adding that unlike the past that international issues were influencing the regional and national issues, now it is reversed; today we see that regional issues affect the international ones and the developments are so fast and unpredictable that demonstrates the urgent need for the maximum attention, in-depth studies and detailed knowledge of the situation.

Head of Strategic Research Center emphasized the necessity of careful studies and research, saying the research centers can be very effective for decision makers and to develop cooperation in regional and international areas due to their exact knowledge, and the Islamic Republic can present proper knowledge of the region having multiple high-level research centers.
