Iran expresses sorrow on tourists road accident

TEHRAN, May 02 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi expressed sympathy on death of two German tourists in Fars province car accident, calling it horrific.

Ghasemi, while expressing Iran's deep sorrow, extended condolences to the families of victims.

“The tourists were guests of the warmhearted and hospitable people of Iran;" Ghasemi noted, adding the accident occurred due to the slippery road and the aid groups took immediate measures to transfer the injured to hospitals in Shiraz and Marvdasht and currently they are receiving medical treatment.

A minibus carrying German tourists overturned en route Sa’adat Shar to Shiraz in Fars province on Monday, leaving two dead and at least 17 injured.

Immediately after the accident a medical helicopter was sent to the scene to help the injured tourists.
