Iran safest country in region

TEHRAN, Nov. 01 (MNA) – President of the Chamber of Deputies of Romania Florin Iordache underlined that Iran is the safest country in the Middle East and its role is essential in regional stability.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Romania Hamid Moayyer on Monday.

Pointing to the constructive role of Iran in providing security and stability in the sensitive region of Middle East, Iordache stressed the need for international cooperation in countering terrorism and extremism, reiterating that Iran is the safest country in the region.

The development of relations between Iran and Romania will continue in all fields, especially between the parliaments of the two countries, based on the past records and commonalities between Romania and Iran, Iordache noted.

Iranian ambassador to Bucharest also relying on long-standing historical and cultural commonalities of Iran and Romania underlined the serious intention and will of Iranian Parliament to develop ties with Romania's counterpart.

Positive developments in bilateral relations, including the visit of high-level delegation of the two countries for economic, political and consular purposes, as well as the agreement on the holding of the Joint Commission between the two countries is the beginning of a new trend in bilateral relations, Moayyer added.

The parties referred to cooperation and good relations between the two countries and insisted on the parliamentary cooperation between Tehran and Bucharest.
