Ghasemi condemns assassination of Jordanian anti-Zionist writer

TEHRAN, Sep. 26 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi condemned the assassination of anti-Zionist Jordanian writer Nahed Hattar.

Ghasemi emphasized that those who were intolerant about this prominent anti-Zionist and anti-Wahhabi writer, are real culprits of the crime.

"The spread of violence and terror is the direct result of wrong policies and double standards of political circles and international media, and also the disgusting passivity in the face of political and intellectual roots of Takfirism and violence," Ghasemi stressed.

Iran Foreign Ministry spokesperson called for immediate action on the punishment of perpetrators and instigators behind the terrorist act.

A gunman has shot dead prominent Jordanian writer Nahed Hattar outside a court where he was facing charges after posting a caricature on his Facebook account.
