World safer, if US gives up bullying behavior

TEHRAN, Sep. 12 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman advised the US to give up its bullying behavior so that the world would be a safer place to live.

In a statement released on Friday, Marzieh Afkham referred to the US President Barack Obama's statement after US Senate's failed cloture attempt on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and called the statement paradoxical.

She reiterated that failure of US policy of sanctions and threats had forced Washington to sit at the negotiations table. "US president is desperate and tries to interpret the outcomes of nuclear negotiations in favor of the White House," Afkham said noting that US gave up its excessive demands at the final stages of nuclear talks.

Pointing to the boost in relations between Iran and other members of 5+1 except US, Afkham said US government, being influenced by Zionist lobbies, escapes the reality and continues anti-Iranian actions.

Underlining that Iran is the pivot of security and stability in the region, Afkham noted that Zionist regime's provocative actions are the source of unrests in the region and the US is a culprit in Tel Aviv's crimes.

"Today's vote in the House of Representatives is the latest indication that the more members have studied the historic deal that will prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, the more they have come out in support of it," Obama said in a statement. He once again repeated his claims over Iran's intentions to achieve nuclear bomb and establishing instability and insecurity in the region and the whole world.
