Ghanaian FM visits MAPNA

TEHRAN, Aug. 31 (MNA) – Ghanaian foreign minister has visited MAPNA Group directing manager, discussed ways to promote bilateral ties.

The meeting took place on last Monday, where Ms. Hanna Tetteh, who was leading a Ghanaian delegation to Iran, visited also MAPNA Groups Headquarters to gain an acquaintance with the Group’s capabilities in business.

The meeting provided Ms. Tetteh a comprehensive set of information, and the delegation welcomed the scope of the Group’s activity. The meeting also addressed possible MAPNA and Ghana cooperation and the ways to promote bilateral relations.

MAPNA’s directing manager expressed gratitude for Ms. Tetteh’s visit to the company, and voiced the Group’s willingness to boost relations in different sectors of construction of electricity power plants, upstream industries projects, and development of natural gas fields, training of Ghanaian electricity expert human forces by MAPNA, etc., which the delegation welcomed.

Ms. Tetteh hailed the scope and the depth of MAPNA’s capabilities and cutting-edge technology, and facilities and expressed hope that in her future meeting, she could revisit the company; “our examinations clearly indicate that MAPNA Group could have a crucial role in helping Ghanaian industry in tackling challenges in terms of technical and investment needs,” she told in the meeting.

She also deemed export of electricity as her country’s prime objectives; “electricity industry is highly important for a country like Ghana to help expand exports and technical advancement of the country, and we need electricity in a critical scale; in the case that MAPNA Group participate in a certain project, Ghanaian government will support it with all its resources,” Ms. Tetteh emphasized.

The meeting concluded with agreement between MAPNA and the Ghanaian delegation which stated that Monenko Co., would represent MAPNA in carrying out a 2-monthly field explorations of the country’s electricity industry, and would make conclusions for a final contract agreement to authorities.
