Joint consortium to build Energy City in Iran

AHVAZ, Aug. 31 (MNA) – A joint consortium formed by Iranian, S Korean, and Indian companies has announced willingness to invest in Energy City Project in SW Iran.

A delegation of 10 members of Enterprise Consortium, formed by Iranian, Indian and South Korean investors, met with provincial officials of Iranian Southwestern province of Khuzestan to discuss investing in Energy City Project.

Mr. Sharma, the Indian head of the delegation told the provincial governor of Khuzestan that the project will get many employed.

He also reassured Iranian officials that the consortium is capable of constructing 3 kilometer of roads in a week.

According to Mr. Sharma, the consortium is also active in prefabricated houses borrowing the technology from the Korean side.

A Korean member of the delegation affirmed that the consortium affords the whole Energy City Project that is worth 10$ billion and it needs 10,000 acre land for it.

During the meeting, Abdolhassan Moghtadaee, the Provincial Governor of Khuzestan, referred to all potentials of the province in transportation which includes air, land, and sea with rails connected to the whole country and ports at Persian Gulf and called the province a land of opportunities for foreign investors.
