Female natl. squad crowned at Cadet Taekwondo Champs

MUJU, Aug. 28 (MNA) – Snatching 7 medals and totaling 83 points, Iranian female squad stood first at the 2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in South Korea.

Bagging home five gold medals, one silver and one bronze for a total of 83 points the Iranian female squad managed to stand above Russia and US at the 2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships which was held in South Korean city of Muju.

Russia finished second with one gold, three silvers and one bronze for 48 points. The United States came third with one gold, one silver and one bronze for 37 points.

Meanwhile, Korea stood at fourth place with one gold and one bronze for 36 points, while Turkey came next with one silver and three bronzes for 33 points.

The competitions brought a total of 465 young male and female taekwondo fighters from 59 countries together.

The 2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Muju opened on Aug 23.
