'Firm, prompt response for any hostile moves'

TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) – Iran’s Army Commander Maj. Gen. Ataollah Salehi reiterated the country’s Armed Forces’ high preparedness to defend the country against possible hostile moves.

Speaking during a visit to Shahid Sattari University affiliated to the Army Air Force, Salehi said, "Army is well prepared to defend the country."

"A brilliant and guaranteed future of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran relies on fundamental training of the students of military colleges," Sattari said, addressing a group of Iranian Air Force university students on Monday.

He pointed out faith, discipline and military training as the fundamental pillars of Iran's Universities for Army Officers.

"Given the current situation of the region and aggressive rhetoric of some arrogant states, the Iranian Army is more prepared than ever to react to any act of aggression or hostile threat in the region, particularly against the Iranian sovereignty," Salehi said.
