Serbia hosts Iran’s Cultural Week

SOMBER, Aug. 24 (MNA) – Iran’s Cultural Week hosted by Serbia is currently underway in the city of Sombor, screening seven Iranian films for Serbian audience.

Iran launched its Cultural Week in the Serbian city of Sombor on August 22 by screening the feature film The Kingdom of Solomon directed by Shahriar Bahrani. Iran’s Cultural Week is organized by the Islamic Republic Cultural Center in Belgrade in collaboration with the Municipality of Sombor.

The opening ceremony was attended by Iranian Cultural Attaché in Serbia Mahmoud Shaloui, officials from the Municipality of Sombor as well as a number of Serbian people who were interested in Iranian art and culture.

The event has been showcasing Iranian visual arts, handicrafts and screening seven feature films including The Kingdom of Solomon, Too Far Too Close, Here without Me, Painting Pool, A Cube of Sugar, A Time for Love, and One of Us Two.

The event will continue until August 28 in Sombor, Serbia.
