Two silver medals for Iran's Taekwondo

TEHRAN, Aug. 24 (MNA) – Two other Iranian Taekwondo athletes ranked second in the 2nd WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Muju, South Korea on Monday.

On the second day of WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in South Korea, Amir Valipour snatched the silver medal to win the title in the male -33 match.

In the female -41kg final match, Iran's Setareh Chaboki could gain silver medal for the country with two victories over rivals from Kazakhstan and Morocco and a failure against Turkish Taekwondo rival.

Yesterday, on the first day of the competitions, Iran could sweep all the five weight categories, gaining 5 gold medals.

Iran took both the overall male and female titles at the inaugural WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2014.
