SNSC denies signing deal with IAEA

TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) – Deputy secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) denied striking any deal with the IAEA.

On Wednesday, the Associated Press published an explosive story alleging that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had signed a deal with Iran to allow the country to run the inspection of its own facility. The report was based on what the AP's anonymous source had claimed was an early draft of the agreement.

Seyed Ali Hosseini-Tash, Deputy Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, denied the claims and affirmed that Iran's Supreme National Security Council has signed no agreement with International Atomic Energy Agency, adding that the issue is basically not in the scope of the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council.
