Warmongering escalation in Yemen doomed to failure

TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM, while stressing political solution to resolve Yemeni issue, warned that intensification of warmongering policy in Yemen is doomed to failure.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reiterated on Saturday that parties after creating unrest and civil war in Yemen fail to understand its undesirable repercussions on region's security.

"Settlement of the issue of Yemen is only possible through diplomatic means, and any influential domestic, regional and international party has to help UN Secretary General's special envoy for Yemen to reach a fair political agreement," Amir-Abdollahian underlined.

He reminded that collaboration or remaining silent against crimes on humanity in Yemen will give rise to increased and dangerous growth of terrorism.

Iran will continue dispatching its humanitarian assistance to Yemen through international organizations, he said.
