Ministry providing all arms requirements

TEHRAN, Aug. 22 (MNA) – Iran’s defense minister has said proxy wars in the region seek to restrict Iran’s influence.

Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan who was addressing a meeting marking the National Day of Defense Industries on Saturday in Tehran (August 22), said that Islamic Republic of Iran had been facing a constant presence of plots and conspiracies by the enemies. He stressed that armed forces, the government, and the nation had always worked to promote Islamic Republic’s hegemony; “today, we are in the pinnacle of our career in terms of organizational resources and facilities and technology, and in the best possible condition in terms of defensive requirements to protect country’s independence,” he told the meeting.

“The ministry would provide the armed forces with all their requirements to improve the forces’ responding capabilities in the face of different threats; we considerably shortened the timespan between project design and actual production,” said the defense minister. “Apart from all restrictions and sanctions, our expert human personnel have scored their best outcome possible during sanctions drawing upon the country’s limited resources,’ he concluded.
