Kazakhs to invest in northern Iran

SARI, Aug. 18 (MNA) – A Kazakh economic delegation arrived in Iranian Northern Province of Mazandaran on Tuesday.

Headed by deputy governor of Kazakhstan’s Mangystau Province, a delegation of Kazakh businessmen in fields of trade, industry, tourism, and agriculture arrived in Sari the capital city of the Iranian Northern Province of Mazandaran to ratify the MoU signed three weeks ago during the visit of Iranian delegation to Kazakhstan.

The announcement was made by Abdollah Mohajer, the Head of Mazandaran’s Chamber of Commerce, Mining, Trade and Agriculture.

The Kazakhs in the delegation are mainly those who held negotiations earlier with Iranian delegation visiting Kazakhstan.

Wood industry along with pipe production and steel plants are the industrial venues to be visited by the delegation. Also the Kazakhs are scheduled to visit some agricultural companies in addition to selected tourist attractions of the northern province.

The visitors are also planned to have a meeting with the Governor Rabi' Fallah and some successful businesspeople of the province.

The two provinces have signed a 10-article MoU to provide facilities in Kazakh port of Actau and Iranian port of Amirabad to ease trading of oil, gas, chemical and petrochemical products, cars, and agricultural produces along with many other areas of cooperation.
