Iraq imports 690 tons Iranian edible oil

TEHRAN, Aug. 13(MNA) – The MD of Iran’s State Trade Organization said that the first cargo of Iran’s edible oil was dispatched to Iraq in last week.

The first Iranian cargo of 690 tons of edible oil was exported to Iraq in last week, said the Managing Director of Iran’s State Trade Organization Ali Ghanbari, according to Iran’s Agriculture Ministry.

Ghanbari recounted that the cargo was dispatched to Iraq in line with the agreements between Iran’s State Trade Organization and Iraqi Ministry of Trade.

Saying that the cargo was of popular brands in Iran, the official added that the load was packaged in 1 liter containers.

 Ghanbari also confirmed that the second cargo of Iranian oil will be exported within the next days weighing more than 1500 tons.

Of Iranian goods to be exported to Iraq, sugar would be the next as he said.

In February, Iran and Iraq signed agreements to bolster cooperation in the fields of trade, air and road transportation, tourism, geology and mines as well as finding a solution to the dust storm problem that has plagued the two neighbors.
