Pacifist Iranians to cycle from Tehran to London

TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (MNA) – Iranian Muslim cyclists will cycle from Tehran to the British capital to deliver the country’s message of ‘peace and friendship’.

To promote and spread the thought and culture of Islam, introduce Iran’s tourist attractions and the art exhibition dedicated to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), a group of Iranian university students will cycle through Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Czech, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France until they reach England.

The cycling tour named ‘Messenger of Kindness’ with the slogan 'Sapling of Kindness, Tree of Peace’ will consist of five Iranian cyclists and preferably a number of foreign Muslim students. The team will be cycling a distance of about 6500-7000 kilometers in three months before reaching their destination.

The tour schedule was decided today at the session of bicycle tour policy-making council held at Academic Center for Education, Culture and Reseach.
