US, UK fostered extremism in Afghanistan

TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (MNA) – International Adviser to Iran’s Parliament speaker has received Chinese Communist Party Central Committee member in Tehran.

Hossein Sheikholeslam received Mr. Bain Chu Lu who heads a delegation to Tehran by an invitation from Motalefeh Party (Bazaar Coalition), where he believed that the US and UK had fostered extremism in Afghanistan.

Sheikholeslam provided Mr. Lu with a general structure of Islamic Republic of Iran’s politics; “the theory by Imam Khomeini (RA) drew upon the national glory of the country and the tenets of Islam which brought about Islamic Revolution, freedom, and independence to nation,” he added. “Today, the most immediate issue in the Middle East is extremism; this would not pose a threat to China; however, it threats the whole world; extremism now has assumed a terrorist attire in Iraq and Syria, which seeks to topple newly founded, democratically elected government in Iraq and Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria,” Sheikholeslam told his Chinese guest.

“US and UK bombardment would not effectively wipe the extremism out, and other more hard options would be necessary; US and EU fostered the extremism since it would act according to their national interests; however, they failed to see its cultural and theoretical fire which now has spread to their own very home,” he asserted.

Mr. Chu Lu for his part told the meeting that Iran and China had been cooperating during sanctions and that “we would see no reason why these ties should not be promoted;” “I would generally agree with Iran’s positions on the security of the region; terrorism is a common threat to all human; we lend significant importance to fighting terrorism and believe that it needs international coordination and cooperation,” he added.

“Iran and China would cooperate effectively in fighting terrorism,” he asserted.
