‘Construction in Parchin normal’

TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (MNA) – Iran representative to the UN rejects claims over construction in Parchin as baseless, dubbing it normal.

Iranian representative to the United Nations deemed western media claims about cleaning up in Parchin as ‘ridiculous,’ and the repetition of previous, worn-out scenarios. “Parchin region is a wide area placing military, industrial, bureaucratic as well as residential areas; thus construction operations are normal in the area,” the statement released by the Iranian delegation asserted.

According to Iranian officials, part of the operations belong to reconstructive engineering operations at Mamlou Dam following a devastating flood hitting the area last week.

Iranian delegation lamented certain western media for using millions of dollars for destroying positive atmosphere over JCPOA agreement between Iran and the 5+1 which was in line with Zionist lobbies’ agenda. “The Islamic Republic of Iran based on its religious teachings and security doctrines has never been seeking and will never seek nuclear military activities, and has never done unconventional activities to need any cover-ups for them. Such repetitious claims have already been proved false, and rather than attracting any attention, indicate anxiety and anger of those making such claims and would therefore discredit them,” concludes the statement.
