Iranian FM to visit Turkey

TEHRAN, Aug. 07 (MNA) – Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu said that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will visit Turkey next week.

He said Zarif's visit to Turkey would be an opportunity to discuss regional issues and bilateral ties as well.

Cavusoglu made the remarks in Malaysia, where he is attending the 48th meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers in Kuala Lumpur.

Pointing to solutions to Syrian crisis, Cavusoglu acknowledged Iranian peace efforts in the region saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia would help bring to an end the humanitarian crisis in Syria.

Following the meeting with the US Secretary of State John Kerry, Turkish FM told reporters that Turkey and the US would begin a joint campaign against ISIL soon.
