Iran-Iraq trade to hit $3bn

SARI, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Visiting Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Falah Hassan al-Zaidan on Tuesday expressed hope that Iran-Iraq trade will rise to $3 billion per annum.

Al-Zaidan, who is on a visit to Iranian Northern Province of Mazandaran, put the current level of trade between Iran and Iraq at $1.5 billion.

Underlining the need for enhanced economic cooperation between the two neighboring countries, he described the capacity of centers for producing agricultural, fishery, meat and dairy products in Mazandaran as very desirable.

The Iraqi minister arrived in Mazandaran ahead of a delegation on Monday.
